Are you a fan of mobile third-person shooter RPGs? Then you don't want to miss out on Goddess of Victory: NIKKE! This game boasts stunning visuals, a one-handed control scheme, and a futuristic story that follows humanity after it was forced underground by invaders. As a player, you are the only one who can save humanity and pave the way for a new beginning. In this article, we will focus on Isabel, one of the humanoid girls named Nikke that were built to defeat the Rapture invasion and reclaim the planet.

Who is Isabel?

Isabel is an SSR rarity attacker class character in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE. Her weapon of choice is a shotgun with an electric element, making her a unique choice for players who prefer close combat. Isabel was manufactured by Pilgrim and is part of the Inherit squad. She was released on November 4th, 2022, and is voiced by Lee Sae-ah in Korean, Rie Tanaka in Japanese, and Cat Protano in English.

Isabel's Backstory

Isabel is an aerial partner with a twisted mind, which makes her a force to be reckoned with in the skies. She will track her target to the ends of the earth, regardless of whether they're friend or foe. Her backstory adds a layer of intrigue to her character and makes her all the more interesting to play.

Isabel's Specialities

Isabel has two specialities: Buffer and Debuffer. She can stack buffs on herself to increase her damage potential, making her a valuable asset in long boss fights.

Isabel's Skills

  • Shotgun Normal Attack

Isabel's normal attack with her shotgun deals 210.7% ATK as damage to the target enemy.

  • Skill 1 - Marked Target

Isabel's first skill is a passive one that activates when she uses her Burst Skill. It affects herself and increases her Critical Rate by 6.26% for 45 seconds. When she uses her Burst Skill again, it triggers the Marked Target 2 effect, which increases her Critical Damage by 18.03% for 45 seconds. Using her Burst Skill for the third time triggers the Marked Target 3 effect, which increases her ATK by 17.28% for 45 seconds. All previous effects trigger repeatedly.

  • Skill 2 - Pointed Feather

Isabel's second skill affects 5 enemy units with the highest DEF and deals 170.58% of ATK as damage.

  • Burst Skill - Sonic Chaser

Isabel's Burst Skill affects all enemies and deals 149.85% of ATK as damage. Its effect changes according to the caster's status. It triggers the Marked Target 1 effect, which increases damage taken by 39.96% for 5 seconds. Using the Burst Skill again triggers the Marked Target 2 effect, which deals 299.7% of ATK as additional damage. Using it for the third time triggers the Marked Target 3 effect, which deals 349.65% of ATK as additional damage. All previous effects trigger repeatedly. It also affects all allies and decreases the Full Burst Time by 5 seconds.

Isabel's Combat Information

Isabel is an SSR rarity attacker class character who uses a shotgun with an electric element. Her Burst type is Type III. Her Magazine Size is 9 ammo, and her Reload Time is 1.86 seconds.

Isabel's Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Isabel can shine in long boss fights when she can stack her buffs, especially with the help of a specific team composition.
  • As an attacker with a Burst III shotgun, Isabel has the potential to deal high damage when her buffs are stacked.

Cons:

  • Isabel's skills are not easy to stack, which makes her weaker in battles that are shorter or have fewer enemies.
  • Compared to other attackers, Isabel deals less damage out of the box.
  • Isabel's buffs take a long time to stack, which can be a disadvantage in most battles.
  • Due to these factors, Isabel is not recommended for use in the Campaign unless she undergoes a rework or a character is released that makes her kit more usable in shorter battles.

Is Isabel good for PVP?

Isabel's rating for PVP is C, which means she is not particularly strong in this game mode. While she has some skills that can deal damage to multiple enemies, her focus is on stacking buffs on herself to increase her damage potential, which takes time to build up. In a fast-paced PVP environment, she may not have enough time to fully stack her buffs and may not be able to deal enough damage compared to other characters. Therefore, it is recommended to use other characters in PVP instead of Isabel.
